WATCH: Kyler Murray appears to get sacked by his own teammate
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray appeared to get sacked by his own teammate during a preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.
The play happened in the second quarter of the game, with the Cardinals facing a third-and-long situation. Murray dropped back to pass, but was immediately met by pressure from the Bengals' defense. As Murray tried to scramble away, he was tripped up by Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin.
Murray was able to get up and walk off the field on his own, but the play was a reminder of the importance of protecting the quarterback. The Cardinals have been without starting left tackle D.J. Humphries for the past few weeks, and his absence has been noticeable.
The Cardinals went on to lose the game to the Bengals, 26-23. Murray finished the game 18-of-29 for 193 yards and a touchdown.
