Podcast host 'excited' about Dragusin possibilities at N17
Tottenham may have handed Mirko Dragusin a chance to stake his claim as an option for next season
With Antonio Conte set to manage Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League next season, it's expected that considerable investment will be made in the playing squad.
Dragusin, 20, has impressed for Romanian side Viitorul Constanta during a loan spell from Juventus this season.
Conte has the option of recalling Dragusin this summer and potentially integrating him into the first-team squad ahead of the club's return to the Champions League.
Conte previously handed Dragusin his Juventus debut
Conte brought Dragusin into the Juventus first-team after seeing him play for the club's youth sides.
The youngster was handed his Serie A and Champions League debuts in the 2020/21 season, before being allowed to join Sampdoria on loan in January 2022.
Dragusin then made the switch to Viitorul Constanta last summer, where he has continued to impress, appearing 27 times in all competitions.
Dragusin could be a useful option for Conte at Tottenham if given chance
The 20-year-old can play anywhere across the back line, which could be a useful asset for Conte, especially if he reverts to a back three as he has done in the past at Inter Milan and Chelsea.
With Ben Davies the only recognised left-sided centre-back in the Tottenham squad, Dragusin could provide Conte with an alternative option in that position.
The Romania Under-21 international would also come in as a relatively low-cost option, as he has just one year remaining on his contract with Juventus.
