Echavarría Earns A Masters Trip
This past weekend, Echavarría earned a trip to Augusta National Golf Club and the 2023 Masters Tournament. Echavarría shot rounds of 68 and 69 and won the tournament. Echavarria won on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff.
Echavarría followed a great round with another great round
In the first round, Echavarría birdied the first and second holes and then eagled the par-5 third hole. He added three more birdies on the front nine and made the turn at 6-under 30. On the back nine, Echavarría birdied the 10th hole and then made a great par save on the 11th hole. He bogeyed the 12th hole, but birdied the 13th hole to get back to 6-under. Echavarría parred the remaining five holes to shoot a 4-under 68 and take a one-shot lead over the field.
In the second round, Echavarría birdied the first hole and then made a great par save on the second hole. He birdied the third hole and then made another great par save on the fourth hole. Echavarría bogeyed the fifth hole, but birdied the sixth hole to get back to 4-under. He parred the remaining 11 holes to shoot a 1-under 69 and take a two-shot lead over the field.

In the playoff, Echavarría birdied the first hole and then made a great par save on the second hole. He bogeyed the third hole, but made a great par save on the fourth hole. Echavarría birdied the fifth hole to win the tournament.
