"Tatort": Cornelia Gröschel on Tears on Set - "Needed a Break"
Popular German actress Cornelia Gröschel has opened up about the emotional challenges of filming the latest episode of the popular crime series "Tatort".
Gröschel, who plays police officer Charlotte Lindholm, revealed that she had to take a break from filming due to the intensity of the scenes.
In an interview with the German news agency dpa, Gröschel said: "There was a scene where I had to cry a lot. I had to stop and say to the director, 'I need a break, I can't do this anymore.'"
Gröschel went on to explain that the emotional weight of the role had taken its toll on her.
"I've been playing Charlotte Lindholm for over 10 years now, and it's always been a very demanding role. But this episode was particularly challenging," she said.
The actress also revealed that she had sought professional help to cope with the emotional demands of the role.
"I've been seeing a therapist for the past few years, and that's helped me a lot," she said.
Gröschel's comments come as the latest episode of "Tatort" is set to air on German television.
The episode, titled "Das Mädchen, das allein zu Haus war," tells the story of a young girl who is left home alone and becomes the target of a sinister plot.
