Sunday Night Football: Defensive TD has Colts ahead of Vikings 7-0 at halftime
Blocked Fumble Eased Past Colts Defense
The Minnesota Vikings had a great chance to take a lead against the Indianapolis Colts in the second quarter of Sunday Night Football. However, a blocked punt forced a fumble that the Colts recovered and took all the way back for a touchdown. This gave the Colts a 7-0 lead going into halftime. The Vikings had been driving the ball well up until that point with their offense, but they continue to struggle where it matters most. Yet to find the endzone, the Vikings offense will be looking to score on their opening drive of the second half to at least tie things up.
Vikings Defense Holding Colts In Check
The Vikings defense has been playing well, holding the Colts to just 104 yards of offense in the first half. They have also forced two turnovers, including the blocked punt that led to the Colts' touchdown.
The Colts offense has been struggling to get anything going all night. Andrew Luck has been sacked three times while completing only 7 of his 14 pass attempts for 56 yards.
Second Half Should Be Interesting
The second half of this game should be very interesting. The Vikings need to score some points to get back in the game, but the Colts defense has been playing well.
The Colts will need to continue to control the clock and keep the Vikings offense off the field. If they can do that, they should be able to win the game.
