Snow Patrol to headline Belfast's Belsonic music festival in Musgrave Park

The Script also confirmed for massive summer festival

Snow Patrol are to headline Belfast's Belsonic music festival this summer.

The band will play Musgrave Park on August 30 as part of the huge summer festival, with The Script also confirmed to play the festival on August 26.

Snow Patrol, best known for hits such as Chasing Cars and Run, will be joined by special guests Editors on the night.

The Script will play Musgrave Park on August 26, with special guests The Fratellis and Feeder.

It comes after the chart-topping band were forced to postpone their Odyssey Arena gigs in Belfast last month due to illness.

They played a huge show at Boucher Playing Fields last summer and they will be back in the city for another massive outdoor show on their Greatest Hits tour.

Tickets for both Belsonic gigs go on sale on Friday at 9am from Ticketmaster.

They are priced at £49.50 plus a £4.50 booking fee.

Other acts confirmed to play Belsonic this summer include Lewis Capaldi, Picture This, Dermot Kennedy, Nile Rodgers and Chic, and Rudimental.

The festival takes place at Ormeau Park from August 22-28.
