Poole Firefighters Tackle Blaze at Civic Amenity Site
Crews Battle Ling Road Fire
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called at 07:12 this morning to tackle a fire at a waste management site. The blaze broke out at the Civic Amenity Site on Ling Road in Poole and was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
Five fire engines and specialist equipment were sent to the scene. Crews used foam to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No Injuries Reported
There were no reported injuries and everyone was safely evacuated from the site. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours to damp down the area and make sure the fire was fully extinguished.
The Civic Amenity Site is closed until further notice. Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
