NFL News: DJ Chark Inactive Sunday
Detroit Lions wide receiver DJ Chark will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to an ankle injury.
Chark suffered the injury in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He was limited in practice all week and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
The Lions will be without their top wide receiver on Sunday. Chark has been a key part of the Lions' offense this season, leading the team with 583 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Jamal Agnew is expected to start in Chark's place.
The Lions are 1-6 this season and are looking for their first win since Week 1. The Panthers are 3-4 this season and are coming off a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The game will be played at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
Additional Information:
- Chark is expected to miss multiple weeks with the ankle injury.
- The Lions have a bye in Week 8, so Chark could potentially return for their Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers.
- The Panthers have a strong pass defense, so the Lions will need to find other ways to move the ball on Sunday.
