Huskers Shut Out in 9-0 Loss to SMU

The Nebraska baseball team was shut out by Southern Methodist University (SMU) in a 9-0 loss on Tuesday night at Haymarket Park.

The Huskers were held hitless by the Mustangs, who are one of the best defensive teams in the country.

SMU scored three runs in the first inning and added six more in the fifth inning to take a commanding lead.

The loss is the Huskers' fourth straight to SMU.

Nebraska has been outscored 32-3 in those four games.

The Huskers will return to action on Friday when they host Michigan in a three-game series.

The first game of the series is set for 6:35 p.m.
