Lexington police investigating early morning shooting outside Raising Cane's on South Upper Street

Incident occurred around 2:20 a.m.

Lexington police are investigating an early morning shooting that occurred outside of Raising Cane's on South Upper Street. According to police, the incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. when officers responded to a call of shots fired.

One person injured

Upon arrival, officers located one person who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say that the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Investigation ongoing

Police are currently investigating the incident and have not yet released any information about the suspect. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Lexington Police Department.
