James Haskell reveals his estranged ex Chloe Madeley was 'propositioned' by a 'squeaky-clean rugby great' during their relationship

Chloe Madeley’s ex James Haskell has revealed that the pair were once approached by a ‘very famous and squeaky-clean England rugby player’ who tried to chat her up.

Haskell did not name the player but said the encounter was ‘pretty awkward’

Speaking on his podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, Haskell said: "I was with my missus Chloe and this very famous, squeaky-clean England rugby player tried to chat her up.

"I did not know what to say and neither did she.

He added: "It's the one time I have been jealous in a relationship because she wasn't even looking at me, she was looking at him. It was pretty awkward."

Haskell and Madeley split in 2021 after three years of marriage, but remain amicable and have remained friends.

In a recent interview, Madeley said that she and Haskell are "still very close" and that they "speak every day".

She added: "We're still best friends and we love each other very much.

"We just realized that we're better off as friends than we are as a couple.

"We're both really happy and we're both in really great places."
