ITV announces new drama ‘Viewpoint’ starring Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans

Martin will play DC Martin King, a single mother and police officer tasked with surveillance on a tight-knit Manchester community, while Evans will play DC

The four-part series, from the makers of ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Line of Duty’, will air later this year.

ITV has announced a new four-part thriller drama, ‘Viewpoint’, which will star Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans.

The series, from the makers of ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Line of Duty’, will follow DC Martin King (Martin), a single mother and police officer who is tasked with surveillance on a tight-knit Manchester community.

When a body is discovered, King finds herself at the centre of a complex investigation, and must race against time to uncover the truth.

Evans will play DC Gary Freeman, a detective who is assigned to work with King on the case.

The series will also star Delia Balmer, Catherine Tyldesley, Bronagh Waugh, and Tom Brittney.

‘Viewpoint’ is written by Ed Whitmore and directed by Ashley Way.

It will air on ITV later this year.
