Frank Lampard Slams Manchester United Stars For Using Managerial Changes As An Excuse For Poor Performances
Lampard Believes United Players Have Used Managerial Changes As A Crutch
Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has accused Manchester United stars of using managerial changes as an excuse for their poor performances.Manchester United have had three permanent managers since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, with David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, and Jose Mourinho all failing to live up to expectations.
Lampard believes that the players have used the managerial merry-go-round as an excuse for their own shortcomings.
Lampard: 'The Players Have Used Managerial Changes As A Crutch'
"I think the players have used the managerial changes as a bit of a crutch," Lampard told BT Sport.
"They've used it as an excuse for not performing, not playing well, and not winning games.
"I think they need to take a long, hard look at themselves and say, 'We're the ones on the pitch, we're the ones who have to perform, and we're the ones who have to win games.'"
Lampard Admits Manchester United's Identity Is In Tatters
Lampard also admitted that Manchester United's identity is in tatters.

"They need to find out what they're good at, and they need to play to their strengths.
"I think they have some good players, but they need to find a way to get them playing together and playing for the same cause."
