Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick has explained his decision to include 26-year-old Jamal Musiala in the starting lineup for the club's upcoming clash with Espanyol.

Musiala has been in impressive form for Bayern this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

Flick said that Musiala's performances in training had earned him a place in the starting lineup.

"Jamal has been training very well," Flick said. "He's a special player with a lot of quality."

"He's always looking to create chances and he's very good at finding space."
