Fauré's Requiem
A masterpiece of choral music

The Requiem is a setting of the traditional Latin Mass for the Dead. However, Fauré's setting is unique in that it is not a mournful or despairing work.
Instead, it is a work of hope and consolation. Fauré's music is full of beautiful melodies and rich harmonies that create a sense of peace and serenity.
