Dix Toilette Storage Facility Burns In Hannover, Smoke Plume Visible From a Distance
On Monday, firefighters battled a blaze at a storage facility for Dixi toilets in the German city of Hanover.
The inferno engulfed the warehouse on the outskirts of the city, sending a thick plume of smoke into the air, which was visible from afar.
Firefighters Extinguish Blaze, No Injuries Reported
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze after several hours, with no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is not believed to be suspicious.
Fire Causes Extensive Damage To The Facility
The fire caused extensive damage to the 10,000 square meter storage facility, which housed around 5,000 Dixi toilets.
The company that operates the facility said it was too early to estimate the cost of the damage.
