Divine Comedy Band Announces Long-Awaited Album Release
New Album "Absent Friends" Set to Drop in March 2023
Pre-Order Available Now, New Single Released
The Divine Comedy, led by Neil Hannon, is set to release their long-awaited ninth studio album, "Absent Friends," on March 24, 2023. The album marks their first new music since 2019's "Office Politics." According to Hannon, the album is a deeply personal one, exploring themes of love, loss, and the passage of time.
Ahead of the album's release, the band has shared a new single, "The Best Mistakes." The song is a classic Divine Comedy ballad, with Hannon's signature wit and wordplay on full display. "The Best Mistakes" is available to stream on all major platforms.
Pre-orders for "Absent Friends" are available now. The album will be released on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. Fans who pre-order the album will receive an instant download of "The Best Mistakes."
The Divine Comedy will embark on a tour in support of "Absent Friends" beginning in April 2023. Dates and venues have yet to be announced.
