Crews Tackle Fire at Commercial Premises in Poole
Firefighters were called to a large fire at a commercial premises in Poole, with crews working through the night to bring the blaze under control.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene on Poole Road, Branksome, at around 9pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
The fire service said that around 50 firefighters were called to the scene, and six fire engines were used to bring the fire under control.
Crews used foam to tackle the fire, which had spread to the roof of the single-storey building.
There were no reports of any injuries, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
The fire service said that the fire had been brought under control by around 12.30am on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
The road was closed between the junctions of New Road and Poole Road while firefighters tackled the blaze.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
The fire service said that the road was reopened at around 7am on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
