Chloe Madeley groped by notorious rugby star at Manchester nightclub
The television personality said she was left 'violated' after the incident involving a 'very drunk' player just yards away from her husband.
Chloe Madeley has revealed she was groped by a 'very drunk' rugby player at a Manchester nightclub.
The 35-year-old television personality said the incident happened just yards away from her husband, former England rugby player James Haskell, in front of horrified onlookers.
Chloe said she was left feeling "violated" and "humiliated" by the incident, which took place at the Neighbourhood club in Spinningfields on Saturday night.
She said the rugby player, who she did not identify, approached her from behind and grabbed her breast.
"I was so shocked and humiliated, I just froze," she said.
"I couldn't believe someone would do something like that in front of my husband and so many other people."
Chloe said she reported the incident to the club's security staff, who ejected the player.
"I'm so grateful to the security staff for taking action," she said.
"But I'm still really shaken up by what happened. I feel violated and humiliated."
Chloe said she wanted to speak out about her experience to raise awareness of the issue of sexual harassment.
"I know I'm not the only woman who has been through something like this," she said.
"It's important that we speak out and let people know that this kind of behaviour is not acceptable."
The incident comes just days after Chloe and James announced their separation.
The couple, who married in 2018, said they were "still the best of friends" and would continue to co-parent their daughter.
A spokesperson for the Neighbourhood club said they were "aware of the incident" and were "taking the matter very seriously."
"We have a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and have launched an investigation," the spokesperson said.
"We are working with the police to identify the individual involved and will take appropriate action."
