Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Palmeiras midfielder Danilo, according to The Athletic.

The Gunners are said to have agreed a £20 million fee for the Brazilian, who has been a key player for Palmeiras in recent seasons.

Danilo has made over 100 appearances for Palmeiras, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists.

He has also been capped by Brazil at youth level, and was part of the squad that won the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Danilo is a versatile midfielder who can play in a variety of positions, including central midfield, attacking midfield, and on the wing.

He is known for his excellent passing range, dribbling skills, and creativity.

Danilo would be a valuable addition to the Arsenal squad, and would provide Mikel Arteta with another option in midfield.

The Gunners have already signed Fabio Vieira from Porto this summer, and Danilo would add further depth to their midfield options.
