Wildcats Aim for Top 25 Finish

Pac-12 Powerhouse Set to Face Strong Non-Conference Slate

The 2023 Arizona Men's Tennis schedule is now official, as the Wildcats look to build off last season's NCAA Tournament appearance. The schedule features a challenging non-conference slate as well as a tough Pac-12 schedule.

Arizona will open the season on January 20th with a home match against UC Riverside. The Wildcats will then travel to Texas for a pair of matches against Texas A&M and TCU. Arizona will play its home opener on January 27th against San Diego.

The Wildcats will face a tough early-season schedule, with matches against four teams ranked in the ITA preseason top 25. Arizona will face No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 12 Texas, No. 14 Pepperdine, and No. 24 San Diego. Arizona will also face No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 USC in Pac-12 play.

Arizona is led by All-American sophomore Gustaf Strom. Strom was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2022 and is ranked No. 14 in the ITA preseason rankings. The Wildcats also return seniors Alejandro Reguant and Filip Malbasic, who were both ranked in the top 100 last season.

Arizona is looking to finish in the top 25 this season and reach the NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats have made the NCAA Tournament 12 times in the last 13 years.
